A documentary installation (Video, photography, sound) in our exhibition space.
A Familiar Place is the story of a man (Titi), Jewish Egyptian, a communist; as he looks back on his life. The exhibition confront his memories as an aging political activist and the collective present of a stolen revolution. The installation creates a path from present to past through a structure where the observer is invited to experience Titi’s appartment and balcony.
