Reporters without Borders (RSF) is pleased to invite you to the exclusive screening event of Hollywoodgate, a documentary film directed by Ibrahim Nash’at.

At the risk of their lives, journalist Ibrahim Nash’at and translator Adel Safi followed the taliban regime from the inside.
The result is a chilling documentary about the return to power of the talibans and the oppression of the Afghan people.
The documentary was premièred at the Venice Film Festival one year ago and has since then received international praise, becoming a likely contender for the next Oscars.

The event will be opened by European Commission Vice-President Věra Jourová, a fervent defender of media freedom and of free voices reporting on authoritarian regimes.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with film director Ibrahim Nash’at and award-winning producer Odessa Rae. Odessa Rae is behind a series of other groundbreaking documentaries, most famously the Oscar-winning Navalny.
Reporters without Borders, which has worked with the team of Hollywoodgate on their safety, will also participate in the panel.
