Screening in the presence of the director Fabio Mollo and in collaboration with not-for-profit association Homoparentalité.
Synopsis
In the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, Saor takes Valentina, their lover, back to her home village to bury her. Having left the village years before becoming a successful trans singer in a faraway city, people still seem to know Valentina under the name Pol. Her past and her death remain an enigma. Little by little, as they meet the villagers, Saor begins to understand what life was like for Valentina under the terror that was inflicted to her by members of the Shining Path: a life of intimidation, rejection and violence. A haunting and moving film with unique visuals and sounds.

- As pastel autumn sets in, Brussels will once again be decked out in fuchsia pink and bold yellow (Pink Screens' proud colours) over the course of 10 days. Your queer film festival will be opening its doors on 31st October for its 23rd edition. Over 100 films of all genres from all over the world will light up the city's screens with stories in which the margin becomes the focal point. More than just a festival, Pink Screens is an ode to queer creativity, a space where films not only entertain but also question, provoke and, above all, do not ask permission.
