Synopsis

“From the living room of their Paris apartment, I embarked with my grandparents, Colette and Justin, on a journey through time at the crossroads of family narrative and the history of the decolonization of Congo. Through interviews, archival footage, and poetry, this film brings their two voices into resonance. It also explores my relationship to this complex history and my attachment to the country of my childhood, which still inhabits me, even though I no longer live there.”
