Synopsis
Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, is a leading city: at the crossroads between Western high technology and Eastern values, a kind of sanctuary for go-getters. As the end of the twentieth century approaches, what better place than Taipei to give birth to a new society — a city rooted in old Confucian ideals of social order while simultaneously struggling with the stress and tensions brought on by the search for identity and the learning process of life itself? Over the course of two and a half days, a group of young people try to pursue their dreams and desires.
