An absent cat, a cheerful donkey, chickens pecking around bare feet: beings that don’t speak the same language as the humans around them and, exceptionally, remain silent. What remains are bursts of pleasure, the warmth of the sun on a stone wall, grace, the wind, a fly, daydreams, grimaces that could be mistaken for smiles. All that is seen and heard less while saturating space with our words. All that is suddenly understood very well when we thought we were dealing with a foreign language.

Dying is an adventure, the last one, and we have experienced it. But what is amazing is that we added this film project to it as a future. Michel was involved in it until the end… and I hear him say to me: “There is no end!” That’s where the music of life is played, of which we are all, in our place of presence, an invented note.
