Paradise is Burning is a tender and tough coming of age film, told entirely from the young protagonists’ perspective on the adult world. The film falls somewhere between Kore-Eda’s “Nobody Knows” and Bouli Lanners “Les Géants” and is carried by an incredible cast, including young talents Dilvin Asaad, Bianca Delbravo and Safira Mossberg, who will visit the Polarise Nordic Film Nights, in collaboration with Ramdam festival.
Paradise is Burning is Mika Gustafson’s feature debut, and achieved the amazing feat of winning the Orrizonti Best Director and Pedicini Authors under 40 Award for Best Direction at this year’s Venice Film Festival.
- Welcome to the 3rd Polarise Nordic Film Nights from 20 January to 1 February at Cinema Galeries! Nine amazing Nordic films have been selected for you by an enthusiastic and committed collective of Nordic cinema lovers which aims at bringing to Brussels the best of Nordic cinema and the most interesting talents from the North.
