Introducing
Session introduced by Hervé-Joseph Lebrun, researcher and specialist in French porn from the 70s.
Synopsis
Karl Forest opens up to the camera with natural spontaneity. His days are all about sports and pleasure. When it comes to indulging in carnal pleasures, there's not much room for compromise: even if he's fickle by his own admission, he loves boys and well-built men more than anything. The film takes us back to the free-spirited Paris of the 1970s. We are quickly hit with pangs of sympathy for this slightly vain man, a sex fiend with a somewhat candid look in his eyes, ready to sacrifice his body to try and live the good life in the capital. On the one hand, the hunt for money, and on the other, the pursuit of pleasure. As a dotted-line portrait of a gay icon and of the fantasy of the handsome sportsman, Le beau mec showcases a likeable personality while at the same time exuding the sweet scent of indifference.

- As pastel autumn sets in, Brussels will once again be decked out in fuchsia pink and bold yellow (Pink Screens' proud colours) over the course of 10 days. Your queer film festival will be opening its doors on 31st October for its 23rd edition. Over 100 films of all genres from all over the world will light up the city's screens with stories in which the margin becomes the focal point. More than just a festival, Pink Screens is an ode to queer creativity, a space where films not only entertain but also question, provoke and, above all, do not ask permission.
