Synopsis
Four close friends, all homosexuals, fought the Ustachis and the Nazis by joining Tito's National Liberation Struggle. Sixteen years later, they have become renowned filmmakers, making films criticizing the society of their time while living their sexuality freely. Emir, a loyal Communist party member, is charged with sabotaging their careers and their lives... The B&W film, with its crude sex scenes and ... torture (sometimes hard to bear) navigates (like Emir) through a world of facades, frustrations and cowardice, sometimes imbued with a certain humanity, and resonates strangely with today's polarised world.
