Synopsis
From Flanders to Wallonia, 'the nomadic quarter' travels across Belgium in an annual tour that has continued for centuries. Its inhabitants, the fairground people, are nonetheless firmly rooted in modern life. Amid the banality of their daily lives and the cycle of life, this immersive film paints a portrait of a community that is subtly being put at risk by urban regulations and the disregard for popular culture.

Quartier Nomade (Nomadic Quarter), directed by Alexandra Rice, will be presented at a special screening at Cinéma Galeries.
The screening will be introduced by director Alexandra Rice, and will conclude with a Q&A session featuring Marco Delforge and his mother Françoise Lamontagne, two key figures from the fairground world.
The event will be bilingual (French/Dutch).
