Synopsis

Cemile Sahin's film Spring is the first part of her multi-part project Four Ballads for my Father. Based on the effects of the GAP dam in Turkey, Sahin's "Spring" tackles this subject through fiction, telling the story of a Kurdish family whose homeland was flooded by the Turkish water dam project and whose members were displaced and took to the road, between Istanbul and Paris.
