Synopsis

In "The Umbrella of Brussels" we learn about the history of the Galeries Royales Saint Hubert from the 1830s onwards. In more than 60 minutes of breathtaking footage, we fly over Brussels' monuments, some well-known, others more secret and well kept. In the hustle and bustle of these superb glass galleries, filmmaker Patricia Niedzwiecki rediscovers Brussels as an artist, from the grandiose Egmont Palace to the astonishing ceiling of the Théâtre des Galeries painted by Magritte, or to the ever futuristic Atomium.
