introduction to the experiments in cinema, explanation of the animation photogram by photogram on 16 mm film, realization of a sequence by students, editing and projection of the film.
Students make a film without a camera by drawing with markers on 16mm film or by scratching the emulsion. In this way, they touch the materiality of cinema and understand its mechanism (photograms, the decomposition of movement, the number of images per second, perforations, the soundtrack). The idea is to show that cinema can also be a more individual artistic practice, close to the visual arts, which does not require a film crew or exorbitant means. It will also be an opportunity to observe the functioning of a projector (the principle of projection, the scrolling of images, optical illusions).

Les élèves réalisent un film sans caméra en dessinant avec des feutres sur de la pellicule 16 mm ou en grattant l’émulsion. Ils touchent ainsi à la matérialité du cinéma et en comprennent le mécanisme (les photogrammes, la décomposition du mouvement, le nombre d’image par seconde, les perforations, la bande son). Il s’agit ainsi de montrer que le cinéma peut aussi relever d’une pratique artistique plus solitaire, proche des arts plastiques, qui ne nécessite ni équipe de tournage ni moyens exorbitants. Ce sera également l’occasion d’observer le fonctionnement d’un projecteur (le principe de la projection, le défilement des images, les illusions d’optiques).
