L’Heure d’été Montreal
Driven by the desire to offer cinema in all its forms, to decompartmentalize genres and to propose a quality selection of films to a popular audience in exceptional settings, CINEMA GALERIES proposes every summer “L’heure d’été” its annual indoor and outdoor festival ! For this edition, about fifty films will be shown during the festival, highlighting Montreal and Quebec’s cinema.
Fourteen of these exceptional screenings will take place in the open air on the site of Bruxelles les bains, the others will be set in CINEMA GALERIES

THE FIRST HYPERLAPSE FILM BEFORE EACH SESSION
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, director Guy Roland pioneered the technique on Super 8 film and made a short film called Pace in Montreal, Quebec in 1991. The film that followed Pace in 1995 and that will introduce each session of the festival, Pacer is considered the first true hyperlapse film – even though the term was only coined in 2012.
AN EPHEMERE BOOKSTORE WILL BE INSTALLED IN THE CINEMA WITH TULITU CONTEST
The bookstore project carried out by two friends with a passion for books who wish to reveal and celebrate Quebec’s internationally recognized literary production which is not yet found in bookstores in Brussels
JULY 8 : RELEASE OF THE FILM “TU DORS NICOLE”
CINEMA GALERIES pays particular attention to show films that are presented as part of its proposal and programmation. This is why the film “Tu dors Nicole” by Stéphane Lafleur will be released at this moment, and shown throughout the festival.

The Phi Center gather all the art venues in one place. Its mission is to make art accessible to as many people as possible and to encourage all forms of meetings and exchanges between artists, works of art and different audiences. It’s creation and production studios, with the most sophisticated technology, are put at the service of artistic needs.
